ABOUT SUGARTOWN INDUSTRIES

Established in 2012, Sugartown Industries is an award-winning, top-rated DJ service helmed by Colleen McHale (known professionally as DJ Colleen Crumbcake) based in beautiful Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.

Growing up outside of DC, Colleen was always making mixed tapes & CDs for her friends in high school.  In college, she hosted two indie rock/pop shows & ultimately became the station's music director.

After college, Colleen moved to Chicago & spun at hipster bars like Club Foot & Danny's as well as hosting a college radio show at WLUW-FM at Loyola University.

In 2002, she moved to NYC & hosted Sandy Acres Sound Lab on East Village Radio for over 8 years.  She worked closely with clients in TV production during the week & started spinning at weddings & events on the weekends.  She's worked with clients like West Elm, Madewell, J. Crew, Etsy as well as the Renegade Craft Fair.  In 2008 she left her 9-to-5, began DJing professionally & has never looked back.
